Raid bosses, built for one
Tab-target combat that works the way the big MMOs do: cast bars, interrupts, positioning, and real damage checks. Most fights can be solved more than one way.
The best part of raiding was always the boss itself. Spire of Reckoning keeps that part and drops the rest. Learn the fight, wipe to it, beat it, then climb to the next one.
What is it?
Spire of Reckoning is a single-player raid roguelite made of nothing but boss fights. There's no overworld to wander and no trash to clear. Each floor is one hand-built raid boss. You learn it, wipe to it, beat it, and climb to the next.
Tab-target combat that works the way the big MMOs do: cast bars, interrupts, positioning, and real damage checks. Most fights can be solved more than one way.
Choose your abilities, climb as high as you can, and let every kill change how you play. Die and you keep your gold and your crafted gear, then start the climb over.
Start as a ranged or melee character and build from there. Mix abilities, unlock new ones, and reshape them with talents. Two people can start the same and end up playing nothing alike.
Combat
If you've pressed a rotation in a recent raid tier, your hands already know what to do here. I'm not reinventing tab-target combat. I'm just trying to make a really fun version of it.
The combat HUD: unit frames, cast bars, the action bar, and ground telegraphs.

The Spire
No bullet sponges. Each boss has a routine you figure out over a few attempts: where to stand, what to interrupt, when to commit to damage. Play it clean and you earn your opening. Get sloppy and the fight slowly gets away from you.
Story mode
Think heroic raiding. Every mechanic is there and teaches you as you go. A real challenge that still gives you some room to breathe.
Ladder mode
Think mythic. More mechanics, tighter timing, and far less forgiveness. This is where the leaderboards and World First runs live.
Every reckoning has a source.
Climb far enough, and it will know your name.
